Hi, Welcome to my blog!

About Me: 

  My name is Dawn and I am a lover of everything sweet. I am a self-taught baker and an amateur photographer. I am not a pro in any means, in fact, I am still learning more day by day. I work in retail which makes it hard to bake as often as I want. As much as I would love to come home from work and bake some sweet desserts, my feet often have other plans. If I could make a dream of mine come true it would be to open my own dessert cafe. You never know, maybe one day! I plan to attend a few baking and decorating workshops to better my skills and possibly take a few classes. Until then I will enjoy baking for my friends and family and sharing my journey with you.

  A little more about me: 

   I am a huge lover of music and movies and you can bet that I have music playing while I am baking and more then often I am singing right along whether the family likes it or not. I am a mother to a teenage girl who is also known as my taste tester as well as my baking assistant from time to time. She has the crazy Idea for me to make her an ice cream cake for her birthday so we will have to see how that goes.

About this Blog:

   One of my New Years Resolutions was to get this blog up and running. I have wanted to start a baking blog for quite a while but never got around to doing it. I figure what better time than the beginning of a New Year. 

In this blog, you will find pictures, recipes, tips and tricks, and whatever else I want to share. It is my goal to try to learn everything I can about baking, learn new techniques, experience new recipes and I want to share it all with you! I hope you stick around and enjoy the blog and everything it has to offer.
